The Viking VP8000 - A true APeX Predator - is specifically designed to stand up to the day-to-day challenges of today’s mission-critical demands.
The Viking VP8000 features multi-band performance which allows users to connect across all bands and now multiple formats including DMR all from one radio. Configurable to operate on any combination of VHF, UHF and 700/800MHz bands. Offering maximum connectivity to the range of protocols in current operation or future migrations, including P25 Conventional, P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 Trunking, DMR, Viking16 (SmartNet/ SmartZone), and FM Analog. This radio also security features such as built-in GPS receiver and antenna for enhanced awareness, Man Down, Bluetooth® for wireless voice accessories, and over the air rekeying (OTAR).
The Viking VP8000 offers 1024 channels of exceptional audio output for high noise environments to allow users to hear and be heard over the 3-Watt speaker. The radio also includes voice annunciation & custom announcement creation capabilities, as well as Instant Recording Replay (IRR) and voice recording.
The radios public safety ergonomics provide flare grip control, large glove friendly knobs and a large emergency key button for operational efficiency and user experience when it matters most. Designed for easy use in emergency situations, with a large full-color multi-line text LCD top and front displays, as well as text messaging capabilities.
